Description: Antiphon. The angels sing a line from the Miserere, a penitential psalm, as Dante approaches the shore after being plunged in the Lethe. This verse is sung in the liturgy when the priest sprinkles the congregation with holy water, an action which symbolizes the washing away of their sins.
