Name: Gardingo
Description: Site of the ancient roman theatre, where in Dante’s time Florentines started to build Palazzo Vecchio. The Uberti had their residences in this area, all of which were destroyed after the defeat of the Ghibellines at the Battle of Benevento (1266).
